The Pain Clinic at the Rambam Medical Center is the very first Pain Clinic in Israel, founded more than 50 years ago. It helps thousands of patients with complaints of acute and chronic pain of various nature and localization.
Thanks to the advanced techniques that are used in the clinic “Rambam”, the program for the relief of pain syndrome is selected individually. To achieve high efficiency, it combines various methods. Our pain clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex pain syndromes who could not receive adequate therapy for a long time. To do this, the clinic team uses modern technological means to treat pain, for example, implantation of electrodes to stimulate the spinal cord or peripheral nerve stems, procedures using radio waves and much more.

Electroneuromyography
Detects damage to nerve fibers that provoke a pain effect. The essence of the procedure is to stimulate the peripheral nerve through an electrical impulse, and the device registers the response of the muscle that is innervated by this nerve.
Multispiral computed tomography
This is one of the modern radiographic methods for assessing the condition of bone tissue and joints of the patient, which has high accuracy.
MRI of the spine
MRI is a modern method of determining the causes of pain not only in the spine, but also in the head. For MRI, powerful magnetic fields are used, which allow for high-quality visualization of various tissues of the spine. Thanks to MRI, the patient can detect, in particular, a herniated disc, spinal canal stenosis, inflammation of the nerve root, proliferation of scar tissue.
Diagnostic blockades
This method is very informative in the case when it is necessary to confirm the diagnosis with an unclear clinical picture and lack of data after diagnostic procedures of computed tomography and MRI. If the pain stops after local anesthesia of a certain nerve or injection of an anesthetic drug into the joint, then the presence of pathology in this structure is confirmed.
