Orthopedic traumatologist, surgeon, rheumatologist, sports medicine doctor, ultrasound doctor with no experience in musculoskeletal research.
You want to learn how to perform an ultrasound examination of adult patients’ joints on your own.
You want to master the skills of minimally invasive ultrasound-guided interventions in orthopedics.
You want to get a certificate of advanced training (36 hours).

Opportunities offered by the course

You will gain practical skills in working independently on an ultrasound machine.
You will become familiar with the ultrasound anatomy of the musculoskeletal system.
You will learn how to ultrasound the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle joints.
You will learn how to diagnose inflammatory, degenerative-dystrophic diseases and injuries of these joints using ultrasound.
You will gain practical skills in ultrasound navigation on joints and surrounding soft tissues (minimally invasive interventions) through hands-on work on phantoms and cadaveric material.
You will learn the basic principles of the ultrasound joint protocol.

Course Description

The lecture program and practical sessions focus on the ultrasound anatomy of joints and ultrasound signs of musculoskeletal disorders in adult patients. Thanks to training in small groups (6-8 people), each student has the opportunity to maximize the practical skills on the ultrasound machine under the guidance of a teacher.

The course program includes practical exercises in the Cadaver Lab in conditions as close to real as possible. Practical training of minimally invasive interventions takes place under ultrasound monitoring on cadaveric material.

At the end of the course there is an opportunity to perform an independent ultrasound examination of real patients under the supervision of a teacher
